Third-Party & Minor Ride Booking Policy

Version 1.0 • Effective March 29, 2026

This policy applies when an adult account holder arranges a Mango ride for another rider, including a solo minor. Mango B.V. operates the marketplace platform only. The policy supplements Mango’s passenger terms and privacy policy.

1. Authority to arrange the ride

  • The booker must be authorized to provide the rider’s contact details and to receive or share ride updates where necessary.
  • The booker remains responsible for the accuracy of the booked-for rider’s name and phone number.
  • The rider may receive operational communications, privacy notices, or tracking links from Mango or the driver where relevant to the booked ride.

2. Contracting and paying party

  • The Mango user who creates the booking is the platform customer for that booking flow unless Mango expressly states otherwise.
  • The underlying transport contract remains between the actual rider and the driver or taxi undertaking providing the ride.
  • Mango remains a marketplace and disclosed payment/collection agent only.

3. Solo minor rides

  • Minors may not create Mango passenger accounts or book directly as guests at launch.
  • Solo minor rides may only be arranged by an adult who confirms authority and remains reachable during the ride.
  • The adult booker must provide an emergency or guardian contact number where required by the booking flow.
  • Mango is not a guardian, supervisor, or chaperone, and drivers are not childcare providers.

4. Safety and lawful arrangements

  • The booker must ensure the pickup and drop-off arrangement is lawful, safe, and appropriate for the rider.
  • The booker must not use this flow to evade account restrictions, create fraudulent rides, or conceal the identity of the actual rider.
  • Drivers may refuse or cancel a ride where safety, legal, or conduct concerns arise, subject to applicable rules and policies.

5. Data protection notice

  • When you provide another person’s contact data, you confirm that you informed them or are otherwise authorized to do so.
  • Mango may process contact details, ride telemetry, chat/support records, and safety communications for booking, dispatch, payment, incident handling, and compliance purposes.
