1. Scope
This policy applies to Mango websites, including the marketing site and any public booking surfaces, and explains how similar technologies may also be used in Mango’s mobile apps. Not every technology used in an app is technically a browser cookie; the policy uses “cookies” as a practical umbrella term.
2. How Mango handles consent
Mango does not load non-essential advertising or analytics tags on the marketing website until you actively grant consent through the cookie banner. Rejecting non-essential tracking does not prevent you from using the core website.
Mango stores your consent choice in a first-party cookie so the site can remember your preference. You can change your browser settings at any time, clear cookies, or use the cookie-preferences link in the website footer to reopen the consent flow.
3. Technologies currently used
| Category | Examples | Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary |
Locale cookie Cookie consent cookie Session and security-related storage where applicable |
Remember language choice, remember whether you accepted or rejected non-essential tracking, and keep the website and authentication flows working securely. | Necessary for the requested service and Mango’s legitimate interest in delivering a functioning website. |
| Attribution session storage | Session storage for UTM and click identifiers | Preserve referral and campaign parameters while you move from marketing pages to the booking flow. Mango keeps this data in browser session storage rather than a long-lived marketing cookie. | Necessary for the booking handoff flow and Mango’s legitimate interest in measuring channel performance. |
| Analytics and tag management |
Google Tag Manager Google Analytics Google Ads |
Measure website usage, understand campaign performance, and support conversion reporting. | Consent. |
| Advertising pixels | Meta Pixel | Measure ad performance, understand conversion attribution, and improve campaign targeting. | Consent. |
4. Mobile app technologies
Mango’s mobile apps may use local device storage, secure storage, push-notification tokens, and diagnostics SDKs instead of browser cookies. These technologies are used for app functionality, fraud prevention, crash reporting, and maintaining a stable signed-in experience. Where consent is legally required, Mango asks for it in the app or through the device permission flow.
5. Third-party services linked to tracking
Depending on the surface and your consent choices, Mango may use or connect to providers such as Google, Meta, Supabase, Stripe, Sentry, Expo, Apple, and Google Play services. More information about data sharing and international transfers is available in the Privacy Policy.
6. How to manage cookies and similar technologies
- Use Mango’s cookie banner on the website to accept or reject non-essential analytics and advertising tags.
- Use the cookie-preferences link in the website footer to withdraw consent and reopen the banner with the same ease as the original choice.
- Use your browser settings to remove or block cookies.
- Use your device settings to manage permissions such as location, notifications, camera, and photos.
- Be aware that blocking necessary storage can break parts of the site or app.
7. Changes
Mango may update this policy if tracking technologies, processors, or legal requirements change. Material changes will be reflected in the version number and effective date, and where appropriate Mango will ask for fresh consent.
